Leatherface was originally played by Gunnar Hansen, who passed away in 2015. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre trailer does feature a few familiar characters, but the faces behind them have changed. It ends with a rather memorable scene where Leatherface puts his chainsaw to work on a bus full of patrons. As the young hopefuls explore the town, they uncover a few characters from previous the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre film, including Leatherface himself. A group of young opportunists arrives with the hopes of reviving the Texas town, but they fail to realize they are not as alone as they think. The trailer then shifts to the focal setting of the film: the small, abandoned town of Harlow. A young woman crashes her car in a deserted field, giving Leatherface an opportunity to strike.
